ITSEMC-2026 recognises outstanding original research contributions presented at the conference through the Best Paper Award, presented across multiple categories to ensure broad recognition of excellence.
Who Qualifies
Eligibility & Evaluation Criteria
Eligibility

Paper must be accepted and registered for presentation at ITSEMC-2026.

At least one author must be physically present and deliver the presentation at the conference.

The paper must be submitted via the CMT portal within the stipulated deadline.

Papers must be original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous review elsewhere.

Similarity index must be below 15% as per the conference plagiarism policy.
Evaluation Criteria
ATechnical Contribution — Novelty, depth, and significance of the research to the field.
BClarity & Organisation — Structure, readability, and quality of writing.
CResults & Validation — Strength of experimental results and rigour of methodology.
DOral Presentation — Quality of the live presentation and handling of Q&A.
ERelevance — Alignment with ITSEMC-2026 themes and conference scope.
How Winners Are Chosen
Selection Process

Paper Acceptance
All papers that pass the double-blind peer review process and are accepted for presentation at ITSEMC-2026 are automatically considered for the award — no separate nomination is required.

Shortlisting by Technical Program Committee
The Technical Program Committee shortlists top-scoring papers based on reviewer scores and technical merit for further evaluation.

Live Presentation Evaluation
A dedicated Award Evaluation Panel attends the oral presentations of shortlisted papers during the conference and scores them on clarity, depth, and Q&A response.
4
Final Deliberation
The panel convenes after all presentations to finalise the rankings. Decisions made by the Award Committee are final and binding.
5
Award Ceremony
Winners are announced and felicitated during the Closing Ceremony of ITSEMC-2026 on 12 December 2026. All winners must be present to receive their award.
